The Stambaugh Chorus presents its 60th Anniversary Concert
The Stambaugh Chorus and the Youngstown Area Community Concert Band
will be performing
The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace by Karl Jenkins.
Alternating between scenes of war and the Kyrie, Sanctus, Agnus Dei, and Benedictus of the Latin Mass, The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace challenges audiences to find and tread the path from war to peace.
Dedicated to the victims of Kosovo, the CD was released the day before the tragic events of September 11, 2001.
Featured soloists will be Kayla Wilson, soprano; Rachael Pavloski, mezzo-soprano; Victor Cardamone, tenor; and David Pratt and Raymond Wagner, Jr, baritones. Featured cellist is Fr. Vit Fiala. The accompanying film produced by OPUS will be shown simultaneously on a large screen with the musical performance.
